Important Notes

• Indian Nationals: No visa. It is enough to have a valid government-issued ID (passport, voter ID, or Aadhaar with photo).
• SAARC Nationals: SAARC countries (Bangladesh, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Maldives, etc.) give its citizens a free 30 days tourist visa one time a year. Further visits are of course subject to regular charges.
• Limited Nationalities: Citizens of some countries (such as Nigeria, Ghana, Afghanistan, Iraq, Cameroon, etc.) should receive a visa in a Nepali embassy or consulate in advance.
• Multiple Entry Visa: In case you want to leave Nepal and come back by passing through other countries, give information of the same to immigration when you enter. An increased USD 25 is charged on a multiple-entry visa.

Visa Information Trekkers and Climbers

The entry to Nepal is possible on a tourist visa but it might be necessary to have other permits to do trekking or climbing in certain areas, including:

• TIMS Card (Information Management System of Trekkers).
• Conservation Area / National park Permits.
• Denied Entry Permits (Upper Mustang, Manaslu, Dolpo, etc.)
