Arrival at the airport and transfer to hotel. Meet your guide for a detailed trek briefing and permit preparation. Explore the vibrant streets of Kathmandu if time allows. Overnight stay in Kathmandu before heading to the remote Manaslu region.

A long scenic drive along rivers, terraced fields, and hillside villages via Arughat and Soti Khola. Experience rural Nepal and local culture while following the Budhi Gandaki River. Overnight in Machha Khola.

Trek through lush forests, waterfalls, and suspension bridges. Gradually ascend along the river valley and enter the restricted area at Jagat, a charming village with traditional stone houses.

Climb through forests and ridges before reaching Lokpa, the gateway to the hidden Tsum Valley. Enjoy peaceful surroundings and first views of Ganesh Himal.

For the combined Manaslu Tsum Valley Trek, you need 5 permits:

Manaslu Restricted Area Permit (RAP)

  • Mandatory for Manaslu region (Jagat–Samdo section)
  • Cost:
    • Sep–Nov: USD 100 (first 7 days) + USD 15/day
    • Dec–Aug: USD 75 (first 7 days) + USD 10/day

Tsum Valley Restricted Area Permit

  • Required when entering Tsum Valley
  • Cost:
    • Sep–Nov: USD 40/week
    • Dec–Aug: USD 30/week + USD 7/day extra

Manaslu Conservation Area Permit (MCAP)

  • Required for conservation area entry
  • Cost:
    • NPR 3,000 (foreigners)
    • NPR 1,000 (SAARC)

Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP)

  • Needed after crossing Larkya La Pass into Annapurna region
  • Cost:
    • NPR 3,000 (foreigners)
    • NPR 1,000 (SAARC)

Chumnubri Rural Municipality Permit

  • Local government fee
  • Cost: approx. NPR 1,000–2,000
